Those of you who read last week’s Life Gave Her Lemons (LOOK WHAT IT MADE HER DO!) , a tell-all of my life with a bootlegger, know that the story was a bit of a cliffhanger. Would this year’s batch of homemade limoncello make the grade?
I’m in Italy this week, and ready to make the big reveal. Yesterday was a beach day, so it seemed appropriate that evening to ring in the summer with the first limoncello of the season. After a mishap last year that left us empty-handed, tensions were running high— or at least as high as they can be after a day at the beach and a big dinner. The good news is:
We have success!
This year’s vintage is a winner. To celebrate and welcome the months of long, warm nights you wish would never end, I thought I’d share a playlist for your own alfresco dinner wind-down. Happily, it violates far fewer laws than sending you a limoncello.
Thank you all for your support of Life Lived Italian. I so appreciate each of you taking time to read the posts or comment. Salute!
The result looks delicious! How are you drinking it? Ice cold from the freezer? Tell us more! 😍🍋
That's usually our preference-- an ice cold limoncello after dinner. Everyone seems to be doing limoncello spritzes these days, but I haven't gone in for that yet. I'm always wary when it comes to innovation :) Plus, then what would I drink after dinner? Have you tried the ubiquitous limoncello spritz?
