Beautiful and insightful! As a Mom, speaking only for myself, I can say that I gave up that “piece of me” willingly… but also found another piece… that mom piece… that then became a part of who I am now and will always be. Thanks for understanding us moms!

Un viaggio in Italia quest'estate...ahhhh, tristemente, no, ma forse in autunno? Non so.

Sicily back in March was an educational wonderland, but it only sharpened my preference for regions further north! My next trip will probably be a peripatetic mix, filling some gaps...somehow, I have never made it to Siena, Perugia, Bologna, nor Assisi.
